Day 1 — Arrival · Luminous · Peach Forest
- 14:00 Pickup at Taitung Station or Fengnian Airport, then into Luye along Provincial Highway 9
- 15:00 Check in at Luminous Hot Spring Resort — held in the valley's embrace across 11.3 hectares; let the journey go in your in-room hot spring
- 16:30 A walk through Luminous's own Peach Forest balloon grounds (ascent experiences subject to the day's operations and weather, per the resort's announcement)
- 18:30 Valley dinner: an unhurried slow-food evening built on local ingredients
- 20:00 Time for the stars — low light pollution, a reclining chair, hot tea, the Milky Way
Day 2 — Highland Dawn · Rolling Rice Fields
- 04:30 Set out in the dark for Luye Highland
- 05:30 Golden hour — hundreds of balloons rise together at the 2026 Taiwan International Balloon Carnival (during 7/4–8/20; sessions per official announcement)
- 07:00 (Optional) Tethered-flight experience, with the queueing handled for you
- 08:30 Back to Luminous for breakfast and a little more sleep
- 10:30 Chishang's Mr. Brown Avenue — rice fields and a bicycle
- 15:00 A tea ceremony at a Luye red oolong estate
- 17:30 Back to Luminous to soak, and count the stars once more after dark
Day 3 — The Slow Valley · Departure
- 08:00 Breakfast at Luminous, no rush
- 09:30 An easy turn through the valley (the Guanshan loop cycle path or the Longtian green tunnel, depending on season and energy)
- 12:00 A local lunch
- 14:00 Transfer to Taitung Station or the airport
Why this journey
The balloons are only the opening line. The real luxury is being able to finish watching the dawn flights and walk five minutes back to your own hot-spring room to sleep — rather than sitting two hours in traffic back to town. Luminous's location and grounds turn "the valley at first light" into something you simply live, because you're staying right here.
